Cloud Deployment (What's New in 2023.1)
Use the Rocky Linux 8.5 AMI provided by Autodesk to speed up deployment.
Autodesk now provides a Rocky Linux 8.5 AMI. Available from the Flame Family 2023 system requirements page, this AMI comes configured with the DKU 17.1, NVIDIA GRID drivers 460.106.00, and all the tools required to use Flame Family in the cloud. These improvements significantly simplify the creation of instances.
Note: If you're using ShotGrid, note that ShotGrid Desktop is not supported on Rocky Linux 8.5. Instructions for cloud deployment on CentOS 7.6 are still available for reference.
New tools bundled in the Flame Family installation allow you to better test media storage performances:
- Compression used for Cache & Renders is now detailed in the Project Management window.
- The Test Disk Tool tests storage performances with real-world use cases.
Third-party tools now support Rocky Linux 8.5:
- NICE DCV now supports Rocky Linux 8.5
- HP Anyware 22.07 now supports Rocky Linux 8.5
