Displaying a Clip in the Video Preview Device
The video preview device outputs a complete image or a selected viewport. When multiple clips are selected, the video preview device displays the first clip in the selection. Settings for the video preview device can be set in the Video Monitoring and Player & Monitoring preferences. The output can also be customized with Viewing Rules.
When the Show Selected Item option is selected, the selectec clip appears in the video preview device and you can manage additional preferences.
You can control the video preview device type and preview mode from anywhere using keyboard shortcuts.
- Toggle between Off, the user interface, and the currently selected device type with the Toggle Video Preview Device Type keyboard shortcut.
- The keyboard shortcut is assigned to Alt+B in all profiles by default, and is mapped on a Tangent panel.
- Toggle between Screen Grab and Selected Item with the Toggle Video Preview Mode keyboard shortcut.
- The keyboard shortcut is assigned to Ctrl+Alt+B in all profiles by default, but is not mapped on a Tangent panel.
