Reference: Remote display using HP Anyware
HP Anyware is one of the remote display solutions tested by Autodesk to connect to Autodesk Flame Family products on the AWS cloud. HP Anyware clients are available for Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
HP Anyware allows multiple monitors and supported Wacom tablets to be used with your AWS instance.
Before connecting to your Autodesk Flame instance using an HP Anyware client, you must install the HP Anyware host Graphics Agent for Linux. See HP Anyware for downloads, instructions, and documentation.
HP Anyware Client Types
Based on your workflow, there are multiple ways to access your cloud instances using Thick, Thin and Zero client. For more information, see Thick, Thin, or Zero Clients?.
HP Anyware and Client Display Resolution
When you use HP Anyware, the resolution of the HP Anyware client display sets the resolution of the AWS instance. If you are running a high-resolution display on your client workstation (4K or higher), consider lowering your display resolution to avoid dropped frames from the stream.
Do not change your display resolution while Flame runs. Always set your client resolution before starting any Flame Family product.
To learn more about HP Anyware supported display timings, see the HP Anyware documentation.

HP Anyware PCoIP Ultra
Based on your workflow, PCoIP Ultra can provide enhanced performance or content delivery quality. Refer to HP Anyware documentation to see if this applies to you.
HP Anyware Security Group
In addition to the regular Security Group required by Flame, HP Anyware expects specific ports to be open on your instance; create a Security Group with the following:
- Inbound rules: refer to Network Ports
- Outbound rules: use the AWS default rules
Update the Instance with the new security group
- From the Instances page, select your instance.
- Click Actions
Security
Change security groups.
- Search for your HP Anyware security group and click Add security group.
- Click Save.
- Launch the instance.
HP Anyware configuration
To improve your experience, consider adding the following lines to your instance's /etc/pcoip-agent/pcoip-agent.conf
:
pcoip.desktop_session="gnome"
pcoip.use_host_autorepeat=1
HP Anyware and NoMachine
If you use NoMachine for remote access on the Windows workstations used for remote display, follow these guidelines.
HP Anyware and Supported Wacom Tablet Models
To find out how HP Anyware supports Wacom tablets, see HP Anyware's FAQ.
When using a Wacom tablet with a Windows HP Anyware client, users must connect the Wacom as a USB device (in the HP Anyware client application) to get all Wacom table features such as pen pressure.
See HP Anyware documentation for details:

The following Tangent panels can be used with the HP Anyware client:
- Tangent Arc
