Using Project Templates

Creating a Template

If you often need to create a project with the same settings, create a project template.

To create a template:

  1. Click New.
  2. Set the desired values for the different project settings.
  3. Click Save as Template.

The Project Home, Setup Directory, and Media Cache locations are part of a project template if they were defined. If not, these fields will be set using the values defined in the sysconfig.cfg file when a template is loaded.

Note: When the Media Cache location has been defined to a location outside the Project Home location, a subfolder named after the unique identifier of the project (UUID) is created to ensure that there is no content from multiple projects in this location. If the Media Cache of the project is located inside the Project Home location, then the subfolder is not created.

Creating a Project from a Template

To create a new project using a template:

  1. Select the desired template from the drop-down menu attached to the New button.
  2. Set a name for the project in the Create Project panel.
  3. Click Create.

Deleting a Project Template

To delete a project template, select it from the drop-down attached to the New button and click Delete Template in the Create New Project panel.
