Batch & Batch FX Preferences

Iterations

Start option

Select whether the iterations index starts at 0 or 1 in a new Batch Group or Batch FX.

Note: Modifying this parameter has no effect on existing Batch Groups and Batch FXs.



Batch and BFX Iteration

Save Setup File

Enable to also save a setup file when saving a Batch Iteration.




Batch FX Setup

Save Backup on Exit

Enable to back up your setup on exiting Batch FX. This backup is used only if something goes wrong with the Batch FX setup, and is not accessible like the regular save you can create within the module.




Render Node

Use this parameters in this section to set default values for a Write File node.



Range

Offset TC

Select whether Offset TC is enabled or disabled by default in a new Render node.



Destination

Smart Replace

Select whether Smart Replace is enabled or disabled by default in a new Render node.

Renders Destination option

Select whether Batch Reels, Reel Groups, or Libraries is selected as the render destination by default in a new Render node.

Reels Group Destination option

Select whether the Topmost Reel, Bottommost Reel, or the reel defined as the default Render Destination in the Media Panel tab of the Media Panel System Preferences is selected by default in a new Render node.




Write File Node

Use this parameters in this section to set default values for a Render node.



Range

Offset TC

Select whether Offset TC is enabled or disabled by default in a new Write File node.



Settings

Frame Index option

Select whether Use Timecode or Use Start Frame is selected in a new Write File node.

File Format option

Select the default file format to be set in a new Write File node.

Padding field

Sets the amount of file name padding to be set in a new Write File node.

Compression option

Select the default Compression option to be set for the DPX, OpenEXR, SGI, Tiff, or Tx file formats in a new Write File node.

Compression Level field

Sets the amount of level to be set for the OpenEXR's DWAA and DWAB compression options in a new Write File node.

Jpeg Quality field

Sets the amount of quality to be set for the Jpeg file format in a new Write File node.

PNG Level field

Sets the amount of PNG compression level to be set for the PNG file format in a new Write File node.



Workspace

Add to Workspace

Select whether Add to Workspace is enabled or disabled by default in a new Write File node.

Smart Replace

Select whether Smart Replace is enabled or disabled by default in a new Write File node.

Add to Workspace Destination option

Select whether Batch Reels, Reel Groups, or Libraries is selected as the Add to Workspace destination by default in a new Write File node.

Reels Group Destination option

Select whether the Topmost Reel, Bottommost Reel, or the reel defined as the default Render Destination in the Media Panel tab of the System Preferences is selected by default in a new Write File node.



Versioning

Clip Versioning option

Select whether No Versioning, Custom Version, or Follow Iteration is selected as the versioning option by default in a new Write File node.

Version field

Sets the default custom version value in a new Write File node.

Version Padding field

Sets the default version padding value in a new Write File node.

Version Name field

Sets the default version name in a new Write File node.




Default Names and Paths

Use parameters in this section to set default paths and names for Batch Groups, Render nodes, and Write File nodes.

Default Batch Group / BFX Setup Path field

Displays the default setup path used for Batch Groups and Batch FXs. Removing the ~ from the path results in the setups located in the defined directory not being archived by Archive Setup or Archive Project.

Batch Group / BFX Path Token option

Select a token to be included in the default setup path for new Batch Groups and Batch FXs. Repeat to add additional tokens.

Default Batch Iteration Setup Path field

Displays the default path used for Batch iteration setups.

Batch Iteration Setup Path Token option

Select a token to be included in the default setup path for new Batch Iterations. Repeat to add additional tokens.

Default Batch Iteration Name

Displays the default name used for Batch iterations. The <batch name> and <iteration> tokens are mandatory.

Batch Iteration Name Token option

Select a token to be included in the default name for new Batch iterations. Repeat to add additional tokens.

Default Gap Batch FX Name field

Displays the default name of any new Gap BFX. Because it is used to identify the setup files for each Gap BFX, make sure to include at least one token that varies over time (Time, Minute...) or space (Background Name, Background Index).

  • The default name is used even if the Save Backup on Exit preference is disabled.
  • If Save Backup on Exit is enabled but the field is empty, you are asked to name the Gap BFX when it is first created.

Gap Batch FX Name Token option

Select a token to be included in the default name for new Gap Batch FX. Repeat to add additional tokens.

Default Render Node Name field

Displays the default name used for new Render nodes.

Render Node Name Token option

Select a token to be included in the default name for new Render nodes. Repeat to add additional tokens.

Default Write File Node Name field

Displays the default name used for new Write File nodes.

Write File Node Name Token option

Select a token to be included in the default name for new Write File nodes. Repeat to add additional tokens.

Write File Media Path field

Displays the root of the default path where the file will be exported. The path is completed with the content of the Pattern field.

Change Path

Click to open the file browser and change the root of the media path.

Write File Pattern field

Displays the default pattern used for the media path of new Write File nodes.

Write File Pattern Token option

Select a token to be included in the pattern field of the media path for new Write File nodes. Repeat to add additional tokens.

Create Open Clip

Select whether Create Open Clip is enabled or disabled by default in a new Write File node.

Write File Open Clip Path field

Displays the default path where the open clip will be exported.

Tip: Use ./ at the beginning to make the path relative to the media path.

Write File Open Clip Path Token option

Select a token to be included in the Create Open Clip path for new Write File nodes. Repeat to add additional tokens.

Include Setup

Select whether Include Setup is enabled or disabled by default in a new Write File node.

Write File Include Setup Path field

Displays the default path where the setup file will be exported.

Tip: Use ./ at the beginning to make the path relative to the media path.

Write File Include Setup Token option

Select a token to be included in the Include Setup path for new Write File nodes. Repeat to add additional tokens.
