Learn how to create and manage sensors and their data.
You need to be an Admin to manage sensors (create, edit, etc.). All others users have view-only access to the Sensor Configuration section.
There are two types of sensor you can create:
- Physical Sensor: Physical sensors are for live sensor data retrieved via a system connection.
- Virtual Sensor: Virtual sensors are for time series data generated within Info360 Insight (e.g., in forms).
From the Sensor Configuration page (in Admin) you can:
- [1] Create sensors (single or bulk) and upload data. Find these actions in the New Sensor drop-down.
- [2] View, edit or test a sensor's configuration, view a sensor's latest data points, or locate a sensor on the map (if location is set). Find these actions in the three dots menu.
- [3] Delete sensors or sensor data, or resample sensor data. Find these actions in the Actions menu once you have selected one or more sensors.
Note: Virtual sensors created from the analytic, mass balance, or ILI tools need to be deleted in those tools.
