To handle warnings when editing horizontal road geometry

Warning messages display when spiral or curve geometry does not meet the specified design standard.

When you select curve or spiral road geometry that does not meet the specified design standard, but is within the valid range, a warning condition displays in-canvas. You can modify the geometry in canvas.

The following example shows a curve that violates the design standard:

Invalid Curve

Note: The yellow color change on the geometry indicates a warning in component roads only.
  1. With a curve selected and Show Road Geometry enabled, notice that the Curve Radius parameter is displayed in yellow.
  2. Click the yellow parameter to display detailed information.

Curve Geometry Warning

  1. You can modify the geometry in-canvas. Notice that when you modify the geometry so that it meets design standards, it displays in green in canvas and the yellow highlighting is cleared.
