To inspect superelevation through intersection areas
Display and review cross section views of superelevated intersection regions and turn zones when two or more component roads intersect.
Note: Cross section views are not currently supported for roundabouts or left-turn lanes.
- In order to view superelevated intersection regions apply superelevation to the component roads in the intersection.
- Activate visibility of superelevation for the roads using the right-click context menu.
- Once superelevation is active and visible, select the component road in the intersection that has the highest design speed. You can then use the Station Tracker to inspect superelevation through the component road intersection.
Note: Superelevation can only be displayed for one component road at a time. For superelevated intersections, the component road with the highest design speed is given priority.
- The Cross Section Viewer will display a cross section view of the existing ground and the intersection top surface, sampled at .5 meter intervals.
