To simulate mobility

Mobility Simulation animations open in a different application window.

  1. Open the model of interest and navigate to the area to study.
  2. Click Analyze Transportation (Mobility Simulation). Mobility simulation mode starts.
  • Component roads, intersections, and roundabouts are highlighted light blue.

    Traffic Study Area

  • All existing traffic study areas are marked in your model. Hover over Traffic Study Area to see boundaries and attributes of an existing traffic study area. Click a traffic study area to select it.

  1. If you didn't select an existing traffic study area to work with, click points in your design to draw a traffic study area. Double-click to complete the traffic study area. InfraWorks will convert all planning roads within the traffic study area boundary to component roads.

    Note: Demand zones, shown as light-blue boxes, are added where the study area crosses component roads. Demand zones are destinations or origins for trips. Control points display wherever you placed points to define the traffic study area boundary. Hover over a control point to view statistics for the traffic study area.
  2. Right-click on your traffic study area and choose Mobility Simulation.

  3. InfraWorks prepares your traffic model for Mobility Simulation. Your traffic model opens in a separate Autodesk InfraWorks Mobility Simulation application window.
