To manage ArcGIS datasets

Use the Data Sources panel to review information about the ArcGIS datasets in a model, to remove datasets, and to save InfraWorks objects back to ArcGIS.

Click Manage Content Data Sources (Alt + F1) to open the Data Sources panel.

Reviewing ArcGIS dataset properties

The Data Sources panel displays information about the dataset layers that were brought into your InfraWorks model using the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS. Each ArcGIS dataset that you add to your InfraWorks model is configured in the data sources panel individually, according to the feature type you specified when selecting dataset layers in the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS.

Note: Each ArcGIS data layer must be configured as InfraWorks features before you can add them to your model. You cannot modify Feature Type for ArcGIS data once it has been added to InfraWorks. To modify feature type, you must instead delete the data source from the data sources panel and add a new ArcGIS dataset. To connect to ArcGIS data.

Removing ArcGIS datasets

Remove an ArcGIS dataset from a model using the Delete button in the Data Sources panel. Note: If you want to bring in an updated version of an ArcGIS dataset, remove the existing dataset first before bringing in the updated version.

Saving back to ArcGIS

If you bring ArcGIS data into an InfraWorks model and then modify the objects, you can use the Save Back option in the Data Source Manager to update ArcGIS with your changes. Only changes to the geometry are saved back to ArcGIS.
