About Model Upgrade and Slices

The way Boolean slice dimensions are interpolated has changed. This could change the shapes of existing linear structure features such as Decks, Girders, or Tunnel Segments. When upgrading the model, the slices on these features are modified to try to minimize these changes.

For most linear features, the Model Upgrade will adjust the slices to prevent their geometries from changing. However, there are still some cases not handled by the model upgrade, where the feature geometries will change. These cases are logged to a new file which is the upgrade issues json file.

In the case that the model upgrade cannot adjust the feature slices to prevent changes to their geometries, a dialog box displays with the name and location of the json file. This json file lists the issue grouped by severity.
