To use spreadsheets to modify structures

Send bridge or tunnel information to a spreadsheet, modify the structure's information in the spreadsheet, then update the structure in your drawing from the changes.

To send structure information to a spreadsheet

  1. Select the structure.

  2. Right-click and select Send to Spreadsheet Create New.

  3. Enter a name or accept the default and click Save.

    Microsoft Excel opens a spreadsheet displaying the information from the selected structure.

  4. Edit the spreadsheet. Note that there are tabs for each component.

    The fields in blue are editable. The fields in black are not. There are a few exceptions to these rules which are noted below.

  5. Save the updated spreadsheet.

To update the structure with information from the spreadsheet

  1. In your InfraWorks model, right-click the structure, and select Send to Spreadsheet Update Existing.
Note: The information is updated from the last spreadsheet you created.

To open an existing spreadsheet

  1. In your InfraWorks model, right-click the structure, and select Send to Spreadsheet Open Existing.

    The last spreadsheet you edited using Create New opens for updating.
