To place road decorations

Stylize your component roads or corridor roads brought in from Civil 3D (see Civil 3D Workflows ) with 3D models and parametric decorations such as barriers, lights, signs, fences, and more. You can add decorations to roads, then modify location, rotation, spacing, tilting, and offsets using the Stack.

  1. Select a component or corridor road, right-click and click Place Decorations.

  2. Select the component to place on the seam.

    Note: Click the filter icon to filter by 3D Model and/or Parametric Model.

  3. select the seam which is represented by the highlighted line in the road. You can place decorations on more than one seam. When finished, press Enter. Also, you can follow the on-screen instructions to place your decorations.

    The components are placed along the road stopping at the break with the next road segment. By default, decorations are spaced at 10m intervals along the length of the seam that you chose.

Note that in-canvas, a dimension that shows the length of the decoration and the start and end station values are displayed. There is also a mini toolbar where you can change those dimensions.

Edits to the length are subtracted from the higher station value.
