Deck Parameter Reference
Decks are always extruded between their slices.

Deck Placement
Deck origins are defined by both lateral and vertical dimensions.
- Lateral Dimension. Deck placement occurs by aligning its origin with the road alignment. No other adjustment is possible.
- Vertical Dimension. Deck origins can be at any elevation (or Y value in the coordinate system of the deck). Decks are vertically matched to the road above and the girders below.
Deck Width
LeftWidth and RightWidth allow the deck edges to follow road edges.
Internal slices are created at the points where either road edge changes direction in regard to the alignment. This allows the deck edges to follow road edges without the needing to manually place slices at all of these points.
Haunches
Haunch parameters align haunches with the girders below the deck.
Haunches are only aligned with non-superelevated girders (MatchGirderTopSlopesToDeckSlopes=false). Superelevated girders are ignored. If the number of non-superelevated girders in a span exceeds the maximum number of haunches (MaxHaunches) then the span is treated as if haunches are turned off.
Matching Haunches to Girders
When defining haunches, note the following rules:
- When using InteriorLeftGirder
Offset and InteriorRightGirder Offset parameters, out of sequence parameters will be ignored. For example, if InteriorLeftGirder1Offset, InteriorLeftGirder2Offset, InteriorLeftGirder3Offset, and InteriorLeftGirder5Offset are defined, InfraWorks will only recognize the first 3 left interior girders. - There is an assumed exterior left girder so the total number of left girders an extra girder is added to the number of left interior girders.
- The HasMiddleHaunchWithNoStraddlingTaper parameter maps the middle girder to this haunch. The middle girder has a lateral offset of 0 that straddles the alignment. Haunching is turned off for a deck span if it has a middle girder but the deck does not have a middle haunch or if the span has multiple or a varying number of middle girders.
