About Parametric Portals
You can add custom portals or use the included circular or rectangular portal components at your tunnel ends. With the parametric flexibility, they adapt to the project terrain with aligned geometry.
Portals are automatically placed when tunnels are added to a component road. Their type can also be changed as any InfraWorks component.
To change a tunnel portal type
- Select the portal to display its attributes in the Stack.
- Expand the Type panel, and click the blue hyperlinked type name of the current portal type to open the Portal Template catalog.
- Click a template type to apply it to your tunnel.

To adjust a portal offset
The portal can be moved by specifying an offset from the end of the tunnel span.
Stack Attributes. Select the grip and specify an offset in the Attributes section of the portal Stack.
In Canvas Attribuute. Select the portal and click the grip. An Offset field appears in canvas. Specify your offset and press Enter.
Manual Adjustment. Select the portal. Click and drag its grip to an offset location. Note, you may have to change your view perspective to stay within the road boundaries.
