Updates to the Online Help

Autodesk periodically updates the online help to add or correct information. Check here for a list of the latest changes.

Many of these changes are the direct result of your feedback. Please continue to tell us how we can improve the help to better serve your needs.

Updates, additions, and improvements to help topics

Update 3 (December 21, 2015)

Update 2 (July 30th, 2015)

  • Restored the Adjust Command Reference.
  • Updated the Appearance Browser Reference.
  • Reordered page content on To Assign an Appearance to a Component.
  • Corrected five Drawing Annotation pages to advise that you now have to hold the CTRL key to enable 15° leader snapping.
  • Added the Scale option for the Direct Edit command to What's New and online content.
  • The page To View a Model Normal to a Face was incorrectly named To Zoom and Rotate in the Graphics Window (video); this has been corrected.
  • Fixed incorrect information about supported versions of Content Center parts, libraries, and servers.
  • Restored the Precision and Tolerance Dialog Box page related to the Hole, Chamfer, and Bend Notes. Fixed broken Help button links from the Precision and Tolerance dialog boxes to the Precision and Tolerance Dialog Box page.

Update 1 (May 5th, 2015)

  • Work was done to improve the overall navigation of help content.
  • What's New: A new topic called Translators has been added to the What's New that includes:
    • 2016 translator version support information.
    • A chart which makes it quick to see which formats are supported for the new associative (reference model) workflow.
  • The topic To Import Files from Other CAD systems - Options Tab has been updated to include translator version support information.
  • The section on Autodesk 360 Optimization for Autodesk Inventor has been retired.
  • Improvement made to text in the bulleted list of dialog box updates in the section, Enhancement Updates to Dialog Boxes.
  • A note has been modified in the topic, About the Thread Data Spreadsheet to include information about Microsoft Excel requirements.
