Updates, additions, and improvements to the What's New and help topics
Update April 8th, 2017
- The following What's New topics were updated to indicate that support for AnyCAD and AnyCAD for Inventor begins with Inventor R2017.4 (not available in Inventor LT).
- A note about support for Windows 10 was added to File Types and Templates in Inventor and About Template Files.
- The topic section Working with Large Assemblies has been renamed to Large Assembly Best Practices. The topic was moved to be a peer topic to the Assembly Modeling Overview making it easier to locate (not available in Inventor LT).
- In the 2017 R2 What's New topic in the Presentations Enhancements, the first Inventor Ideas link did not point to the Ideas topic. This is fixed. (Not available in Inventor LT.)
- In the 2018 What's New, in the General section, on the Productivity and Performance Enhancements page, in the Performance Improvements section, the first bullet item was reworded to improve clarity.
- The Inventor 2018 Help topic: About Display Appearance Settings was updated to include the access point. This was in response to a customer comment.
- Support has changed for importing Mechanical Desktop files and references to Mechanical Desktop have been removed from the Inventor 2018 help. A link to a Product Support article was added to To Import or Open AutoCAD DWG Files. . This article describes how to Import Mechanical Desktop 2009 files into Inventor 2018.
