Install Language Packs
How to install and uninstall language packs.
Each Autodesk product is installed with a default language. A language pack is a mechanism used by some products to provide another language for the user interface and the documentation. Each language pack contains only the text strings and documents required to support a user working in the specified language; it does not duplicate the core product software.
Language packs are about 200 MB in size, so they can be installed and uninstalled quickly. A single installed product can support several languages, enabling users to switch from one to another when required.
Install a Language Pack
- During a deployment installation:
Navigate to the Custom Install in the left pane, select the Inventor release version, expand the Language packs drop-down, and select the language packs to be installed.
Or, navigate to the Product Updates in the left pane, and select the language packs to be installed.
Uninstall a Language Pack
- Go to the Windows Start menu to choose the control panel to uninstall programs.
- On the control panel, select the language pack you want to uninstall and click Uninstall.
