You can unfold and refold the following sheet metal features:
- Sheet metal bends or rolls relative to a reference face. You can unfold a model that has at least one flat face. You can refold sheet metal models that have at least one unfold feature in the unfolded state.
- Sheet metal rolls relative to a temporary plane at either end of the rolled material. You can unfold a folded sheet metal model that contains no flat face. You can refold a sheet metal model that has no flat faces and at least one rolled feature in the unfolded state. (You cannot refold unconsumed sketches that are created on unfolded rolled features.)
- Sheet metal bends or rolls relative to a face that has a sketch. The sheet metal model must have at least one sketch created on the face of a folded or unfolded feature. You can refold a feature that has at least one Unfold feature in the unfolded state.
The Unfold and Refold dialog boxes have the same content. The dialog box’s image panel displays an image that changes, depending on which of these geometries are available:
- Unfold - Flat faces present
- Unfold - No flat faces
- Refold - Flat faces present
- Refold - No flat faces
- Unfold - Contour roll
- Refold - Contour roll
Select Reference Planes, Geometry, and Sketches
Use the following to select components for unfolding and refolding:
- Unfold or Refold Reference (
). Specifies the face or reference plane to use as the reference to which bends or rolls are unfolded or refolded.
- Unfold or Refold Geometry. There are two options.
specifies individual bend or roll features to unfold or refold.
specifies all bend or roll features to unfold or refold.
- Sketches (
). Specifies unconsumed sketches to unfold or refold. Available only after you select unfold or refold geometry.
