Ejector Reference

Provides the tools to create ejectors.

Access:
  On the Mold Assembly tab, click Ejector.

Design

Type

Type

Specifies a type of ejector in the drop-down box.

Note: To filter the displayed types, use the Vendor and Category drop-down boxes.

Eject Plastic Part

Places an ejector pin that ejects the plastic part.

Eject Runner System

Place s ejector pin that ejects the runner system.

Include Center Pin

Creates an ejector sleeve with a center pin.

Note: Not all ejector sleeves have a suitable center pin. If there is no suitable center pin to match the ejector sleeve, the Include Center Pin check box is disabled.

Specifies a plastic part in the graphics window.

Place Ejectors

Specifies the locations of the ejectors in the graphics window.

Align Ejectors

Specifies the reference edge or plane in the graphics window for the angle value.

Anti-rotation

Enables the Anti-rotation tab where you can add an anti-rotation feature on an ejector pin.

Enables Edit Coordinate System and the position edit table. Use Edit Coordinate System to redefine the origin and XY orientation. Use the table to change the position of ejectors or delete ejectors from the list.

Anti-rotation Tab

Anti-rotation type

Key Slot

Cuts the heel of the ejector pin and adds a stadium-shaped counterbore, aligned with the edge of the heel on the core pin.

Rectangle Slot

Cuts the heel of the ejector pin and adds a rectangular counterbore, aligned with the edge of the heel on the core pin.

Insert Pin

Adds a counterbore to hold the heel of the ejector pin, and selects a stop pin to insert into the ejector pin.

Side Pin

Cuts the heel of the ejector pin and adds a counterbore to hold the ejector pin and the optional stop pin. The stop pin is tangential to the cut edge of the ejector pin and the bottom plane of the ejector pin.

Include Stop Pin

Creates a stop pin to avoid rotation of the ejector pin.
