Lifter Reference

Provides the tools to create a lifter assembly.

Access:
  On the Mold Assembly tab, click Lifter.

Lifter dialog box

Type

Type

Used to select the type of lifter assembly from the drop-down list.

Customize

Allows the lifter assembly to be customized.

Plastic Part

Specifies a plastic part in the graphics window.

Pull Direction

Sets the pull direction of the lifter. In the graphics window, select a straight edge, face, or planar surface as a reference.

Flip Direction

Reverses the pull direction.

Defines the offset value from the selected Pull Direction element.

Base Point

Specifies the base point of the lifter. In the graphics window, select a solid point or work point as a reference.

Defines the offset value from the selected Base Point element.

Lifter Angle

Specifies the Lifter Angle.

The Max Travel value is automatically calculated as a reference value.

Import Size

Imports a selected lifter assembly into the mold design.

Save Size

Saves the lifter assembly as a template.

Preview update

Updates the preview of the lifter assembly in the graphics window.

Part dialog box

Preview Displays an image of the selected lifter assembly.
SizeSpecifies the size of the part in the drop-down list.
Dimensions Reviews or change the parameter values of the part. To change the parameter values, select Dimension in the drop-down list, or enter values in the text box.

Placement plane dialog

Selection

Placement plane

Specifies a plane on which to place the bottom of the lifter. In the graphics window, select as a reference a solid surface or a surface that is parallel to the XY plane.

Note: This dialog displays when there is no ejector plate, or more than one ejector plate.
