To start Inventor Read-only Mode

Start menu Autodesk Inventor [version] Inventor Read-only Mode

To open a file in Inventor Read-only Mode

To open in Inventor Read-only Mode

1. Click File Open.
2. In the dialog box, select the appropriate file type.
3. Browse to the folder that contains the Inventor file.
4. Select the file name from the list.
5. To open the file, double-click the Inventor file name in the list, or click Open.

To open through Windows Explorer

• In Windows Explorer, right-click on an Inventor file and select Inventor Read-Only Mode.
• Double click on an Inventor file in Windows explorer. This opens the file in the most recently used application (Inventor or Inventor Read-Only Mode).

To work in Inventor Read-only Mode

• To Pan, Rotate, and Zoom
• To Measure Distance, Length, Angle, Loop, or Area in Model
• To use Vault in Read-only Mode
