Inventor Read-only Mode
Inventor Read-only Mode allows you to access Inventor part (.ipt), assembly (.iam), drawing (.idw, dwg), and presentation (.ipn) files for viewing in the Inventor user interface without consuming a license.
Inventor Read-only mode is included as part of the Inventor installation. Anyone who does not have Inventor installed can use this mode by downloading the Inventor trial from www.autodesk.com/products/inventor/free-trial. Trial access to full Inventor capabilities is time bound. Inventor Read-only Mode does not expire.
Important: Although Inventor View no longer installs with Inventor, Inventor View continues install with Autodesk Vault and can also be downloaded as a standalone application from https://www.autodesk.com/viewers/all-viewers.
