Factors dialog box (Legacy ANSI)

Access:

Ribbon: Design tab

Power Transmission panel

Worm Gear

and on the Calculation tab, select Legacy ANSI from the drop-down list in the Method of Strength Calculation area. Click Factors.

OK	Confirms the selection and closes the dialog box.
Cancel	Closes the dialog box.
User Factors	When selected, you can enter values manually.

Factors of Additional Load
Overload Factor K_o	Overload Factor is intended to account for an occasional load of the nominal design load F_t. It can be established from experience with the particular application. Otherwise use K_o= 1. Click Factors... on the context menu to open Overload Factor dialog box where you can select the value.
Speed Factor K_v	Speed factor takes into account the influence of worm gear speed.
Lewis Form Factor _y	Lewis Form Factor takes into account the influence of pressure angle.
