Friction Factor dialog box

Displays a table with values of Friction Factor.

Access:

Ribbon: Design tab Power Transmission panel Drum Brake Calculator, Disc Brake Calculator, Cone Brake Calculator, or Band Brake Calculator. Then click the arrow next to the Friction Factor edit field and select Factors.

In table, click the values next to the appropriated material. When you click OK, the mid value is entered to the Friction Factor edit field in the Calculation tab. You can also enter the values manually according to the recommended range of values in the table.

OK

Confirm the selection and close the dialog window. Enters the mid value to the Friction Factor edit field in the Calculation tab.

Cancel

Closes the Friction Factor dialog box.
