Locknut Groove Dialog Box

Use this dialog to enter parameters for locknut groove feature in Shaft Component Generator.

Access

Ribbon: Design tab Power Transmission panel Shaft. On the Design tab, select Cylinder in the tree control. In the First edge features drop-down menu, select Lock Nut Groove..

Thread

Use the drop-down list to select the type of the thread.

Dimensions

Enables Locknut groove dimensions editing.

Use the drop-down menu to select a locknut groove from the Content Center.

Note: You must be connected to Content Center server and your computer configured to insert locknut groove from the Content Center.

Predefined thread types are specified on a spreadsheet. The default location is:

Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 8: Users Public Documents Autodesk Inventor [version] Design Data.

Name

Displays the name of the parameter. Name of the dimension is used in the Calculation tab and in the Results pane. Column is not editable.

Size

Select the Size field to insert a value.

Select Measure from the context menu to measure dimension in the Autodesk Inventor window.

Description

Displays the description of the parameter. Name of the dimension is used in the Calculation tab and in the Results pane. Column is not editable.

Custom

Check the box to insert user values for locknut groove dimensions.Note: You cannot edit values that are dimmed. They are calculated automatically.
