To Share a View from Inventor
Learn how to share a visual representation of a design or model online.

To Share a View
Important: The shared view is created from the current view of the open file. Before uploading, make sure you are sharing only the information you want to be made public.
Open the file you want to share a view of.
Access one of the following:
- Select File
Share
Share View.
Or
- On the ribbon, Collaborate tab
Share panel
Shared Views. Click New Shared View.
- Select File
In the Create a Shared View panel, specify options. Options give you additional control over information that you share with your collaborators.
Select Share to upload a visual representation of the file in Autodesk Viewer.
A pop-up window provides the link to the shared view in Autodesk Viewer. This makes it easy for you to send the link to your collaborators

Supported File Types and Environments
You can share views for these file types and in these environments:
Supported File Types
.IPT (part files)
.IAM (assembly files)
.IDW/.DWG (drawing files)
Note: Use AutoCAD to create a shared view of a .dwg file that contains external references.

- Drawing
- Sheet Metal
Note: Sketch environment is not supported.
