Enhancements to Open and Save (What's New in 2027)

File Search

With this release, you can now perform a basic file search when opening or saving files.

Tree View Options

You can now choose between Inventor Workspace Tree View and Windows Navigation Tree View when opening or saving documents.

Folder structure in the left pane updates to display the choice. You can use arrow keys and Enter to navigate the hierarchy.

To display only the Inventor Workspace Tree View, in the Ribbon go to Tools Application Options File tab and deselect Show Windows Folder Navigation in the File Dialogs. The Windows Navigation Tree View no longer displays in the dialog.
