Simulation Properties View

This view is displayed when you right-click a simulation in the Explorer window and choose Simulation properties from the Selection dialog.

The view provides the following read-only information and can also be used to re-run an on-premise simulation or a failed cloud simulation. The items contained in the view are described below:

Sim title

The name of the simulation.

Start The start time of simulation. This will be either an absolute or relative time.
Finish The end time of simulation. This will be either an absolute or relative time.
Simulation providing initial state

The simulation which provided the initial state. This box will be empty if no initial state simulation was specified for the parent run that this simulation was generated from.

Saved at The time that the initial state simulation was saved at. This will be either Saved at end (if the Save state at end option was selected for the run in the Schedule Hydraulic Simulation View) or an absolute time.
State saving times

The times that states were saved from this simulation. This will be either:

  • None - if the Do not save state option was selected for the run in the Schedule Hydraulic Simulation View.

  • Saved at end - if the Save state at end option was selected for the run in the Schedule Hydraulic Simulation View.

  • An absolute time - Two times may be displayed:

The first is the sate saving time specified for the Save state at option in the Schedule Hydraulic Simulation View, and the other is the time that the state is saved at the end of the episode. The latter will only be displayed if the run included an episode collection.

Runoff only If checked, it indicates that this is a runoff simulation. No check indicates that it is a hydraulic simulation.
Re-run simulation

Re-runs the on-premise simulation based on the information specified for the parent run.

This button is only enabled for a cloud simulation which has failed, and will re-run the simulation based on the information specified for the parent run.

If you are re-running a simulation for a database whose database version is not the latest version, a message will be displayed warning you that an older version of the simulation engine will also be used. If you want to use the latest engine enhancements for the simulation, you will need to update the database and re-run the simulation.
