Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) control objects in InfoWorks networks and Low Impact Development (LID) control objects in SWMM networks are specified as part of the Subcatchment data and are used to define the parameters which model the outflow from the SUDS or LID structures which are located within a subcatchment.
In
InfoWorks networks, SUDS control objects can also be specified as part of Building data. New SUDS control objects for subcatchments and buildings can be created either in the SUDS control tab of the
Subcatchments Grid or by clicking on the
button adjacent to the SUDS controls field in the
Property Sheet for the
building or
subcatchment.
Similarly in
SWMM networks, new LID control objects can be created either in the LID control tab of the
Subcatchments Grid or by clicking on the
button adjacent to the LID controls field in the
subcatchment Property Sheet.
The control parameters can, however, only be modified or deleted from the SUDS control or LID control tab in the Subcatchments Grid.
Once defined, the SUDS control or LID control objects can be associated with the SUDS or LID structures, located within a subcatchment, by clicking the
button in the
SUDS controls or
LID controls field in the subcatchment properties. This displays the
SUDS controls grid or
Subcatchment LID controls grid, where you can select the required object from the SUDS control ID or LIDS control ID field.
Similarly, for buildings in
InfoWorks networks, SUDS control objects can be associated with the SUDS structures, located within the building, by clicking the
button in the SUDS controls field in the building properties. This displays the
SUDS controls grid , where you can select the required object from the SUDS control ID field.
The control and performance summaries for the SUDS structures in an InfoWorks network, whose control objects are included in a simulation, can be viewed as a SWMM SUDS text report.
The performance of the LID controls in a SWMM network is reflected in the runoff calculated for each subcatchment and reported in the subcatchment results.
