InfoWorks ICM Windows

This section describes the different windows that are available when viewing and editing network information, and additional windows used when working with networks.

These are the different windows available on the network:

  • The GeoPlan Window is the one you will probably use most. The network is displayed in geographical form, and you can also display other layers of data such as background maps.
  • The Grid Windows provide tabular access to most of the data about objects in the network. There is a separate Grid Window for each object type. Some data, such as tabular data, cannot be displayed.
  • The Long Section Window displays a vertical schematic of a series of nodes and links within the network.
  • The Cross Section Window displays a vertical schematic of a section (river reach section or bank, bridge section, inline bank) selected on the GeoPlan.
  • The 3D Manhole Window provides a 3D representation of a single node with its connected links.
  • The 3D Network Window provides a 3D representation of the ground surface of a network that has a ground model loaded on its GeoPlan Window.
  • The Explorer Window displays a hierarchical representation of the data within the current database.
  • The Thematic Key Window displays the current themes for all open GeoPlan Windows.
  • The Flag Window displays the available data flags for the current database.
  • The Spatial Bookmarks Window displays the spatial bookmarks for the current network.
  • The Object Properties Window displays the selected network object Property Sheet and you can view and edit object properties here.
  • The Object Browser Window displays object relationships and allows users to manage relationships (Please note this functionality is available to InfoAsset Manager networks only).
  • The Job Control Window displays the order and status of scheduled simulation and meshing jobs.
  • The Job Progress Window displays details of the progress of a simulation job.
  • The Output Window displays network validation messages.
  • The Message Log Window displays a list of all popup messages shown during the current instance of the application.
