Viewing 2D Mesh Element Properties

The elements of a 2D mesh cannot be manually edited, however, coordinate, area and roughness properties can be viewed for each element.

To view the properties of a 2D mesh element

1. Select the information tool from the GeoPlan Tools toolbar.
2. Click on a 2D Mesh element.

The 2D Zone Mesh Element Properties dialog will be displayed. An element may be made up of several aggregated triangles, in which case the coordinates of each of the triangles making up the element will be displayed. If simulation results are loaded, a grid of element results will also be shown.

The 2D Zone Mesh Element Properties dialog for an element can also be displayed via the Results Analysis grid for a Results element 2D object.

1. Right-click on the relevant row in the Results Analysis grid.
2. Select Properties from the popup menu.

   A 2D Zone Mesh Element Properties dialog is displayed for the selected element.
