Importing Event Data To Scalar Time Series Data

Events listed below can be imported into Scalar time series data objects:

• Rainfall event
• Ground Infiltration event (applicable to InfoWorks networks only)
• Level event
• Inflow event
• Regulator event
• Pollutograph event (applicable to InfoWorks networks only)
• SWMM Pollutograph event (applicable to SWMM networks only)

• Flow survey

  • Observed depth
  • Observed flow
  • Observed velocity

To import events into a scalar TSD

1. Create a new Scalar TSD:
   • Right-click a Model Group in the Explorer Window and select either the New InfoWorksScalar time series data or New SWMMScalar time series data option from the context menu. A New Database Item dialog appears.
   • Enter the name for the new scalar TSD object into this window and click OK. The new TSD icon appears under the Model Group in the tree the Explorer window.
2. Drag the Scalar TSD object from the Explorer Window and drop it onto the GeoPlan.
3. From the Network menu, select the Event data into time series data option, and the Import event data to time series data dialog is displayed.
4. Configure the import as appropriate (See Import event data to scalar time series data dialog for more information).
5. If you want to import the events' initial conditions, drag an empty Catchment initial conditions object into the Also import initial conditions to drop target.
6. When finished, click OK. The dialog closes and a report is displayed, listing the results of the import:



7. Close the report.
8. Open the scalar TSD by dragging the object onto the InfoWorks ICM background.
