This topic lists any bugs that have been fixed between versions 2024.5.2 and 2025.0 of InfoWorks ICM.
See Known Limitation and Issues for a list of limitations and any issues that we are aware of.
The fixes listed below are those that are viewed as likely to impact on users in an unexpected way, mainly changed simulation results, or differences in behaviour that might not be obvious.
Vulnerabilities
The following vulnerability has been addressed within third party components:
CVE-2023-38545
See the Autodesk Trust Center for details about vulnerabilities in InfoWorks software.
Closing the output window
An occasional crash when closing the validation output window has been fixed.
Simulations with backslash characters in node names
A simulation using a network containing a node with a "\" character in its name should no longer fail in the cloud.
GeoPlan crash
A crash when clicking on a river bank in the GeoPlan has been fixed.
Agent versions
2024 release of the Autodesk InfoWorks ICM Agent Manager gave incorrect advice about what version of the Agent service should be used. This has been corrected. You should generally use the newest available version of the Agent service, as it also supports older versions of InfoWorks ICM.
Meshing in legacy versions
Meshing was failing when running a legacy version of ICM (such as 10.0) with a 2023.2.6 or 2024 version of the Agent. The latest versions of the Agent now support meshing from legacy versions of InfoWorks ICM.
Import of shapes from XPSWMM
An issue with shapes being imported from XPSWMM into the wrong shape and/or the wrong location has been fixed.
Pre-processor failure
An occasional failure of simulations in the cloud with "Failed - pre-processor failed" has been fixed.
Crash in graphing
An occasional crash when graphing has been fixed.
Cancelled jobs in the cloud
Cancelling a job (such as a simulation) in a cloud database could result in it becoming "lost" and remaining running but invisible to the user, usually if a network connection drops. Steps have been taken to prevent this from happening.
Custom toolbars
Customisations made to toolbars are now retained when the software is restarted.
NOAA rainfall
When using the NRCS method with 30min duration, depths calculated by the NOAA rainfall generator were not as expected. They have been corrected.
2D element results export
Export of results at 2D elements now works in SWMM networks as it already does in InfoWorks networks.
Update from AutoCAD
A problem with importing some DWG files from AutoCAD has been fixed.
Crash in results viewing
A long-standing crash when viewing results has been fixed. This crash could potentially occur in various circumstances. One example is when viewing results on an editable view of the network and editing the network in certain ways such as undoing deletes or un-excluding objects in scenarios.
Water quality model
The initial guess for the matrix system (see Numerical Techniques) may have set the wrong matrix entry in cases where the old flow at a link end was out of the node into the link, but into the node from the link at the new time level. This has now been corrected. The change in results is likely to be minimal.
