The SMTP Server dialog is displayed when the Edit connection configuration and test option is selected from the context menu on the Email Configuration page in an Action List.
It enables a ping test to be performed using the connection information and displays a log of the test in the Test view.
The email connection settings for the configuration are displayed in the Settings and Security and Authentication fields, and the enabled fields can be edited if required. Any changes made to the fields are saved by clicking OK.
The connection can be tested by clicking the Connect button. If the ping test is unsuccessful, then the connection information can be edited, if applicable, in either the enabled fields in the SMTP Server dialog or alternatively, in the Email Configuration page in an Action List.
