Annotation Label dialog - Text Page

The Text Page of the Annotation Label dialog allows switching between standard and custom labels and editing of custom label properties.

The following controls are available:

• Standard Text / Custom Text radio buttons: Select the type of label to be created for Map view labels.
• Text box into which custom text can be typed or pasted. Entering an object database fieldname within curly brackets (e.g. Pipe length = {length}), will display the value of the field when the label is attached to an appropriate network object.

  

Similarly, if results are loaded in the Map view , entering an object results fieldname within curly brackets (e.g. Pipe flow= {flow}), will display the results value of that field when the label is attached to an appropriate network object.



• Text and text box formatting options

Custom Labels on the Map view have further options regarding font size:

Check the Maintain font size at all scales box to fix the font size regardless of Map view zoom level / map scale.

If the box is unchecked the font size will vary as you zoom in and out in the Map view . The true size of the font, specified in the Size box will be displayed at the map scale defined in the Scale for this font size 1:X box.
