Run Validation window

The Run Validation window displays error and warning messages for the currently selected run when that run is validated or simulated.

Validation is implemented on control properties. Values can be viewed and edited for a network object on the Properties window.

Run Validation Window

Validation takes place when:

  • The Validate button of the Current run section is pressed on the Run Manager, or
  • The Simulate button of the Current run section is pressed on the Run Manager.

The window is displayed at the bottom of the Baseline Page beneath the Map view. To display the window, click the Validation button of the Run Manager. (It is only possible to view the validation window once validation has been carried out.)

Right click in the window to display a context menu allowing the following operations to be carried out:

  • Print - print out validation messages
  • Copy to clipboard - copy messages to clipboard for pasting in another application
  • Go to Property Page - right click the validation message and select this option to open the Properties Window of the relevant network object with the offending field selected, and to highlight the network object in the Map view. Alternatively, double-click the error message to display the properties window.

For each error or warning, the validation window displays the following information:

Symbol - the message is an error message. The error must be resolved before the run can be simulated.

- the message is a warning message. This message is for information.

Code The error or warning message number
Priority Priority level (always set to 1)
Object Type The type of object in the Network.
Object The name of the object in the Network.
Field The field where the value is invalid, missing or outside recommended ranges.
Message A description of the problem.
