Customise dialog

The Customise dialog is used to determine which toolbars are displayed when running IWLive Pro Operator Client. The contents of the toolbars can be changed and new toolbars can be created. The dialog is displayed when Customise toolbars is selected from the Tools menu or Windows menu.

  • The Commands page displays the toolbar buttons that are available and allows you to change the contents of any toolbar.
  • The Toolbars page lists the toolbars that are available and indicates those that are currently visible. You can display or hide toolbars by clicking the check boxes to the left of the toolbar names and you can change the appearance of the toolbars.

Commands page

The Commands page of the Customise dialog displays the toolbar buttons that are available and allows the contents of any toolbar to be changed. The appearance of toolbar buttons can also be modified using this page.

Commands

Displays a list of IWLive Pro Operator Client toolbars and corresponding buttons.

To open or close a toolbar group, click the or symbols to the left of the toolbar name or double-click the toolbar name.

To add a button to a toolbar, drag the button from the Commands box onto the toolbar at the required position.

Description

Displays a description of the currently selected button. This text will appear on the status line when the mouse pointer is placed over the button.

Modify selection

Enabled when a toolbar button (outside of the Customise dialog) is selected. Click this button to adjust the appearance of the icon.

Delete Removes the button from the toolbar
Button Appearance Displays the Button Appearance dialog, allowing the image and text associated with the image to be changed
Image Only Displays the toolbar icon only
Image and Text Displays both the toolbar icon and the text associated with the icon
Put Separator Before Adds a dividing line in front of the currently selected icon
Put Separator After Adds a dividing line after the currently selected icon

Options

Check the Icons in menu option to display the toolbar button icon next to the corresponding menu item.

Custom Button Preview

Displays a preview of the button appearance when a button from the Custom Buttons group in the Commands box is selected.

Toolbars page

The Toolbars page lists the toolbars that are available and indicates those that are currently visible.

Operations

New Toolbar

Creates a new user-defined toolbar.

Delete

Enabled for user-defined toolbars only.

Deletes the currently selected toolbar.

Rename

Enabled for user-defined toolbars only.

Allows the name of the toolbar to be changed.

Reset

Enabled for IWLive Pro Operator Client toolbars only.

Resets the currently selected toolbar to display the contents of the toolbar before the current instance of editing (i.e. before the Customise dialog was opened).

Reset All

Resets all of the IWLive Pro Operator Client toolbars to display the contents of the toolbars before the current instance of editing (i.e. before the Customise dialog was opened.

To restore the contents of all IWLive Pro Operator Client toolbars to their default settings, select the Reset toolbar buttons option from the Tools menu or the Window menu.

Options

The options check boxes change the way in which the toolbars are displayed.

Show tooltips

Determines whether descriptions are displayed below the buttons when the mouse pointer rests on them.

Cool look

Changes the appearance of the buttons.

Show gripper

Displays the gripper bar on the left hand side of the toolbar.

Lock positions Prevents docked toolbars from being moved. Floating toolbars can be moved in the normal way until they are docked.

Border size

Enter an integer to adjust the size of the toolbar border. Button sizes will not be affected.
