Cleaning the working directory

Automatic clean up of unneeded files in the working directory will be carried out by default. You can configure automatic clean-up, including turning it off. You can also manually clean unwanted files from the working directory.

Configuring automatic clean-up

  1. Choose Configuration | Clean up.

    This displays the Configure Clean Up dialog.

  2. Use the upper check box to set whether or not automatic cleaning takes place.
  3. If automatic cleaning is turned on, set the age of files to be removed (from 1 day to 30 days old).
  4. Use the lower check box to set whether recycle bins are automatically emptied.

    If you choose this option, the recycle bins will be emptied at 1 a.m. (01:00).

Manually cleaning the working directory

  1. Choose Database | Clean working directory or Tools | Clean working directory, depending on the product.
  2. Note the advice in the warning dialog, then, if you want to clean the working directory, click Yes.

    All files except checked out networks and locally stored results are removed.
