Select SQL Server Data dialog

This dialog is used when :

  • importing data from an SQL Server database via the Open Data Import Centre
  • exporting data to an SQL Server database via the Open Data Export Centre

The dialog is displayed when browsing for a file in the above centres with SQL Server selected as the source or export type. It provides connection options for the Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL server, which connects to a Microsoft SQL Server database.

Description
SQL Server Connection

Server

The name of the server

Instance (optional)

Instance name if required (for example, myserver/sqlexpress)

Database

The name of the database
Integrated Security If checked, authenticates connection to SQL Server by the current Windows account name and password.
Username Username required for integrated security.
Password Password required for integrated security.
Save username and encrypted password If checked, stores the username and password entered in the boxes above.
Projected Network Coordinate System

Use SRID

Enabled when connection details have been entered.

Opens the Select A Projected SRID dialog.
