Creating a network

You can create a new, blank network at any time and add the objects that make up the network model.

Alternatively, you can import a network from existing GIS layers or CSV files.

To create a new network

1. In the Explorer window or Model Group window, right-click a model group.
2. In the context menu, select New Network.
3. In the New Name - Network dialog, enter a name for the network.
4. Click OK.

The new network will be checked out but will not be displayed. You can display the blank network by right-clicking the network in the database tree and selecting Open. You can then add or import the network objects. When you have finished making changes, you must check the network in.
