About Multi-function Grips

Use these versatile grips to reshape, move, and otherwise edit line string features and polygon features.

Editing options are as follows.

Stretch

• On a Midpoint grip for a line segment, moves the location of the line segment.
• On a Midpoint grip for an arc segment, resets the arc angle.
• On an Endpoint grip, moves the location of the vertex

Add Vertex

For all grips, inserts a vertex in the next slot after the vertex used to select this option.

Convert to Arc

On a Line Segment midpoint grip, converts the line segment to an arc.

Convert to Line

On an Arc Segment midpoint grip, converts the arc segment to a line.

Remove Vertex

On an Endpoint grip only, removes the vertex used to trigger the action.
