To Work With Cropping Point Clouds

Crop a Rectangular, Polygonal, or Circular Area

1. Select a point cloud.
2. Select the shape of the area you want to crop.
   Note: The cropping is created relative to the current view, not the current UCS.
   • To specify a rectangular area, click Point Cloud contextual tab > Cropping panel > Create Crop drop-down menu > Rectangular. Find
   • To specify a series of points to define a custom polygon shape, click Point Cloud contextual tab > Cropping panel > Create Crop drop-down menu > Polygonal. Find
     Note: Press Enter to close the polygon.
   • To specify the center point and radius of a circle, click Point Cloud contextual tab > Cropping panel > Create Crop drop-down menu > Circular. Find
3. Specify whether to keep the points inside or outside the crop boundary.

Invert a Cropping

After cropping a point cloud, you can change whether to show the points inside the crop boundary or outside the crop boundary by inverting the crop.

1. Select a point cloud with cropped areas.
2. Click Point Cloud contextual tab > Cropping panel > Invert. Find
