    Using customized renderer

Should you want to use your own customized renderer, your renderer xml filename must follow the format myRendererNameRenderer.xml. Use the environment variable MAYA_RENDER_DESC_PATH to set additional directories for your custom renderer description xml files.

You can find examples in the bin/renderDesc folder of the Maya program directory.
