Open a scene in Maya without running Bifrost graphs
Sometimes, you might want to open a Maya scene with a Bifrost graph without executing the graph immediately. For example, the graph may be a large simulation that takes a long time to initialize, and you want to make changes before it runs.
Before opening the scene in Maya, make sure that Evaluation mode is set to DG in Maya's Animation Preferences.
Pause the viewport.
Open the scene.
Before doing anything else, open the Bifrost Graph Editor.
Pause graph compilation and execution (Ctrl+period).
You can now unpause the viewport, and make any changes that you want to the graph or scene.
When you are ready to start running graphs, resume graph compilation and execution (Ctrl+period again).
