ToolClips provide easy access to learning content via short video clips accessed through the Maya interface. All you have to do is move the mouse over any button or icon that activates a tool.
They demonstrate specific tool functions, such as for tools in the Modeling Toolkit. For example, click
to display the
Modeling Toolkit, then move the mouse over any of the
Tools buttons, such as
.
The Quad Draw ToolClip window appears.
Click
More to expand the Quad Draw ToolClip to show further detail, such as short video clips, images, and links to related topics in the Help.
To activate ToolClip display in the interface:
- Choose to open the Preferences window.
- In the Help section, select the option.
