The Tool Box displays on the left side of the Maya interface by default - see Interface Overview. It contains the most commonly-used tools for working in Maya.

Note: If you don't see the
Toolbox (or other areas of the interface), go to
in the main menu and select the checkbox next to the missing item. You can also reset the
Workspace, or select a Workspace that includes the
Toolbox, for example
General.
Tool shortcuts
The following hotkeys are for the tools in the Tool Box. You can reassign shortcuts to different keys in the Hotkey Editor.
