To import an image as a paint layer mask

1. In the Paint Layers window, select a paint layer or a layer mask, then do any of the following:
   • Click > Import Layer Mask.
   • Right-click the layer and select Import Layer Mask from the pop-up menu that appears.
2. In the file browser that appears, select an image file to use as a mask on the paint layer.

To export a layer mask as an image file

1. Select the layer mask you want to export and do one of the following:
   • Click > Export Selected.
   • Right-click the layer mask and select Export Selected from the menu that appears.

     A file browser appears, letting you save the mask as an image file.
