What's New in 2023

This release introduces new features and enhancements that expand the capabilities, enhance solution accuracy, and reduce time to solution.

This release can be installed side-by-side with previous releases. You don't need to uninstall existing products on your computer. Before you run the product for the first time, check you have setup and can access License.

Named User License

Named User is a new license type available for Moldflow 2023. Go to Named User License for more details.

Network License Manager

Note: Autodesk 2023 products include NLM version 11.18.0.0; all network license servers working with 2023 products must also run NLM version 11.18.0.0. The 2023 Autodesk products cannot get licenses from a server running NLM 11.16.2.0 or lower. However, older versions of Autodesk products will still work with NLM 11.18.0.0.

Installer Changes

Moldflow 2023 introduces a new bundle installer, which groups the products into a single installer. You can choose which product(s) to install during the installation process.

Important: Key changes include:
  • Configure license after install using License Configuration tool (Read Installation Supplement > Licensing > Get Started with License Configuration)
  • Change the working directory after installing the product, using the Options dialog which is located in the Application menu
  • Uninstall products using the Control Panel
  • When uninstalling a product, all products that were installed as a bundle are uninstalled together
  • Language packs are installed automatically.
