What's New in 2023 Update 1

This release introduces new features and enhancements that expand the solution capabilities.

This release replaces existing Moldflow 2023 installations. You don't need to uninstall existing products on your computer.

Named User license

Firewall exceptions

With the Named User license, Moldflow Synergy requires unrestricted access to .api.autodesk.com. Starting with the 2023 Named User license, when you log in to Autodesk Moldflow Synergy you may be blocked from logging in unless you have added .api.autodesk.com to your firewall exception list.

Behavior when internet connection is lost

If you lose internet connection during an analysis run with a Named User license, such that your local network fails to communicate with the Autodesk licensing server, the analysis will pause. When you are back online, the analysis will resume from where it paused. The analysis will abort if you are offline continuously for 24 hours or if you restart the computer. Previously in Moldflow 2023, a Named User analysis would abort after 15 minutes of disconnection.

Note: This is different from what occurs if you disconnect your computer from your own local network router. In this case the Simulation Compute Manager (SCM) loses connection to your job and will abort the analysis because your IP address changes. The default SCM Job Timeout is 120 seconds. You can extend the jobtimeout value in the SCM configuration file.

More details are available on the Named User License help page.
